The Online Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program (RPYT)

Do you feel drawn to guide women through one of the most transformative experiences of their lives – with confidence, clarity and compassion?

I’m really glad you found us! You’re welcome to apply to the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program.

There’s no commitment, you’ll just tell me a bit about you and why you’re drawn to learn more.

When you apply, you’ll also receive instant access to a free 5-Day Ma Yoga Prenatal Training. This gives you five essential prenatal principles you can start cueing right away, plus 1.5 hours toward Ma Yoga RPYT Certification.

Once you’ve check it out, if Ma Yoga feels like your path, we’ll schedule a call and I’ll clarify all the certification pathways available to you.

Do any of these ring true for you?

There’s so much fear around pregnancy and exercise, and I honor you for wanting not to more.

Unfortunately, lists of do’s and don’ts and videos of adjustments can leave yoga teachers even more insecure.

I’m excited to share with you the inspiring, confidence-building alignment principles of Ma Yoga, rooted in the five elements: space, earth, water, fire and air.

They’ll help you ensure you’re offering cues that are safe, effective, and even therapeutic for mom and baby.

Ma Yoga is based in therapeutic alignment, so you’ll learn principles that will help you ensure any prenatal pose is safe, effective, and transformative.

When you’re completed the program you’ll be Ma Yoga Certified. You’ll have a wonderful foundation for any future trainings or teachings you do.

Ma Yoga was developed in collaboration with OBs and midwives at Kaiser Permanente, where it was integrated into a group visit and prenatal yoga program.

It combines biomechanical alignment, breath, meditation, and strengthening and opening postures to help clients connect to their bodies’ wisdom and power.

It is a natural complement for nurse midwives, doulas, nurses, and other perinatal care providers.

If so, I designed the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program in 2012 with you in mind.

I’d love to share the details with you.

What Makes the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program Unique

Whether you’re already teaching or you’re just dipping your toe in, you’ll learn principles and practices you can use right away to support, guide and inspire pregnant students.

Hi, I’m Jessica. After years of teaching prenatal yoga, I became a mom. I felt unprepared for the overwhelm, isolation, and depletion I felt.

I created the Ma Yoga® Prenatal Certification Program to give yoga teachers the tools to guide moms-to-be through three births:

  • the birth of this baby

  • the birth of the mom to this baby

  • the birth of herself as mother to herself

By the end you’ll be able to:

  • Adapt regular poses and create inspiring prenatal themes and classes for all trimesters

  • Provide therapeutic yoga adjustments for common aches and pains, and to help prevent and heal postpartum issues

  • Integrate Mayurveda self-care and daily rhythm routines to support moms and moms-to-be beyond the mat

  • Understand the pros and cons of birth choices, and how yoga can transform labor

I feel so much more confident about teaching, which is amazing because I didn’t feel that way after my 200 hour.
I can never thank you enough for this training full of love and healing.

Why "Ma" Means Feminine Wisdom and Power

In nearly every language, ma means mother – like mama (妈妈) in Chinese, ema in Estonian, and maa (ما) in Persian.

In Sanskrit, ma also means the highest, most powerful, and most wise – as in Ma Kali, the Mother of all goddesses.

Ma Yoga isn’t just about becoming a mother to a baby – it’s about learning to mother yourself, so you can become the most powerful and wise “Ma” version of yourself.
