Ma Yoga Living Tip from Elizabeth Ochoa, Certified Ma Yoga® Prenatal & Mom Yoga Instructor

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 20 years. My practice began after I was drawn to a class at Bikram South Pasadena one day after months and months of insomnia, pain and emotions on edge from a surgery that took a toll on my life. It was the calling, the blessing in disguise, that alleviated my issues that very night. I slept for the very first time in months! I woke up a believer and committed to one day become an instructor.

Fast forward, 2016 I took my 200 hour teacher training with Awakened Warrior Teacher Training. I continued to take various trainings and will always be a student of yoga. MaYoga was a training that I could not walk away from. It was especially nurturing and therapeutic that I wanted to become a part of this special community. I will forever be grateful for the mentors/teachers in my life and their loving wisdom passed on to me.

Yoga has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and it’s made me believe in connections. In a world where things happen for a reason. Where our mind and body, breath are all connected to the earth and our relationships to our surroundings and our awareness are as well. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully. I can’t explain how deeply grateful I am for this awareness into my life and how I see the world and the canvass that surrounds me daily. It’s almost like a whole new world opens up before you.

I hope to inspire the same kind of awareness in my students as my mentors have in me. I especially love to see the magic in your eyes as you step off their mat
In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive and live by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
