Ma Yoga Living Tip from Hayley Wilson, Certified Ma Yoga® Prenatal & Mom Yoga Instructor

Hi mamas! My name is Hayley and I grew up in a small, rural town where there really wasn’t access to yoga studios or much knowledge in general of the practice, especially for mothers.

Pregnancy and motherhood is such an important time to find your tribe, and the Ma Yoga living room provides the opportunity to join with others on similar paths. I love creating a space where we can all come as we are to practice and feel connected.

I was first introduced to asana (the physical practice) in 2012 and became captivated. I later learned about the other facets of yoga besides the physical and realized I had been practicing long before my first class. I was continually drawn to this path and became a witness to how it was transforming me.

Noticing the expansion it produced, I felt the duty to share it with others.

I then moved to Los Angeles, California, where I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training. This awakened my devotion as a student and I continued my education by becoming certified in breathwork and meditation, specifically how it pertains to neuroscience, yoga Nidra, and prenatal through Ma Yoga!

I am so grateful to be a part of the supportive and loving Ma Yoga community that uses birth as inspiration to empower women in the most magical human experience and beyond.

I am passionate about making yoga accessible for moms anywhere, anytime. I love online classes because they provide so much availability, convenience, and community within the comfort of your own home, no matter where you are in the world.

Community is a Much Deeper Need for Pregnancy

I was thrilled to find out I was pregnant in 2021 after years of trying and being diagnosed with PCOS. I had received my 200 hour YTT certification in 2020 and knew how much yoga would help my changing and growing body, however, I couldn’t find any prenatal yoga courses or programs locally, I had just moved from a big city to a much smaller rural town and I just didn’t have a community yet…

Becoming a Beginning Teacher Again by Jessea Wiedeman, Certified Ma Yoga Instructor

Sometimes as a yoga teacher you forget two things: One is that not everyone is going to like the style of your teaching and two, you forget to continue to be a student of the practice. I felt this way for a little over a year about the avenue of what type of yoga I want to focus on teaching and how I could get more experience to be able to feel confident in my teaching skills. This is when I found Ma Yoga.
