Meet Heather Johnson, Certified Ma Yoga® Prenatal and Mom Yoga Instructor

Hey Mamas! I’m Heather, a mama of two sweet littles. I’m so glad to be teaching with Ma Yoga, a wonderful space to join together with others experiencing this wild and beautiful journey of motherhood!

My yoga journey began with my first yoga class in high school, where for the first time in my life I felt drawn to a fitness class. Something about yoga pulled me in and has been transforming my life ever since.

After my pregnancy with my first, I knew I wanted to become certified in Prenatal Yoga. I was already training to be a yoga instructor and I was completely amazed with the power and wisdom of pregnancy.

Prenatal yoga helped me to channel that power and prepare for an empowering birth. I found Ma Yoga at the start of my second pregnancy and I knew it was the right time to jump in.

I love teaching yoga, but I am truly passionate about sharing the feminine power and wisdom in mamas and moms-to-be through the Ma Yoga practices and principeles. I’m so grateful that you are here to share this journey with me!

I thoroughly enjoyed my yoga class with Heather Johnson. Taking class with her was so calming and helped me with making more space for baby. She checks in and explains the poses really well. I could tell she really enjoys teaching and connecting with her students. I 100% recommend taking one of her classes!

Becoming a Beginning Teacher Again by Jessea Wiedeman, Certified Ma Yoga Instructor

Sometimes as a yoga teacher you forget two things: One is that not everyone is going to like the style of your teaching and two, you forget to continue to be a student of the practice. I felt this way for a little over a year about the avenue of what type of yoga I want to focus on teaching and how I could get more experience to be able to feel confident in my teaching skills. This is when I found Ma Yoga.
