The Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program (RPYT) was created in 2012 to provide not just lists of poses and sequences, but also alignment principles that help teachers feel confident guiding and inspiring pregnant students.
The syllable “Ma” in almost every language means “mother”. In Sanskrit it also means “the highest, most powerful and wise.”
Ma Yoga isn’t just about learning to be a mother to a baby. It’s about learning to mother ourselves.
The Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification program will give you so much more than do’s and don’ts.
You’ll learn principles and practices that help moms-to-be relieve aches and pains, support optimal positioning for baby, prepare for labor and motherhood – and become the “Ma” they want to be.
You’ll receive personal support and guidance from Ma Yoga Founder Jessica Jennings, MS, ERYT, RYPT, plus other Ma Yoga teachers and experts throughout your 85-hour journey as you incorporate simple but powerful principles into your practice and your life.
You can join us live on Zoom calls, watch the videos and stay with your group, or do it on your own time. You’ll have lifetime access to all course materials and the supportive Ma Yoga community all the same.
You’ll not only feel confident teaching yoga to pregnant mamas and new moms, you’ll learn alignment principles and practices that help you be a powerful co-creator in your own life, no matter what you’re pregnant with: a baby, a project, or a new way of offering your gifts to the world.
Hi I’m Jessica Jennings. I’m so glad you found me!
I created Ma Yoga® as a new mom in 2009 to help women feel nurtured and connected, get stronger inside and out, relieve their own aches and pains, and become the “Ma” they want to be.
More than 25,000 pregnant mamas and new moms have come through our classes, and learned simple but powerful practices that help them feel supported, grounded, and spacious.
Ma Yoga is based in the five elements of nature, and teaches simple alignment actions to bring space, steadiness, watery playful energy, firey power and freedom into every pose.
When you learn these principles – what I call the “Five Sacred Steps” – you will have a guide for every co-creative act, from teaching a pose to writing a poem to being a mom to fulfilling your own deepest desires for your life.
