“I love the profound wisdom of the methodology and Jessica, its founder. The Ma Yoga approach is not only beneficial in the time around giving birth, it can change your whole perspective on life.”
– Ann-Christin G.
We’re all pregnant with something – whether it’s a baby, a project, or a new way of offering our gifts.
“Ma” in almost every language means “mother”. In Sanskrit it also means “the highest, most powerful and wise.”
Ma Yoga teaches powerful alignment principles that go way beyond modifying poses for pregnancy. It’s about learning to nurture yourself deeply, so you can align physically, mentally, energetically and spiritually with your highest, most powerful and wise “Ma” Self.
Receive personal help from Jessica, teachers and experts in the community and like-hearted trainees throughout your journey. Pregnant mamas welcome, and new moms don’t worry – you can be on mute, so loud little ones won’t distract anyone.
Join us for live Zoom calls or recorded online trainings – or both. Lifetime access allows you to come back to the material again and again. If you get busy, take it live next time – you have a year to complete your certification.
Discover principles and practices that will help you become a powerful co-creator in your own life, on and off the mat – whether you’re gestating a baby, a vision, or a new way of offering your gifts to the world.
Hi I’m Jessica Jennings. I’m so glad you found us!
I created Ma Yoga® as a new mom in 2009 to help yoga teachers confidently support, guide and inspire moms and moms-to-be.
In 2012, my prenatal yoga training was allowed to be about half online by Yoga Alliance, and I loved how spread out and easy that part was.
Now that it’s 100% online rather than squeezed into a few weekends, I am so proud of how prepared and excited my graduates are.
Ma Yoga is based in simple, repeatable alignment-principles I still use daily on after 20 years of teaching.
As you go through your “Ma” journey, these principles – rooted in the five elements of nature – will not only help you teach safe, therapeutic, and inspiring pre and postnatal yoga, they’ll give you powerful insights into co-creation itself.

Completing the above modules plus six prenatal class visits allows you to become a Ma Yoga® Certified Instructor. To receive your Yoga Alliance RPYT, you must also complete a 200-hour RYT. If you choose to do a regular teacher training, it can be done before or after the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification (RPYT). Ma Yoga provides you with a solid alignment-based yoga foundation for any future yoga teaching or training, and gives you all the tools you need to teach your own “Mama Circle”.
Yes, the four 3-week trainings are all online, and you can take them either live on Zoom, self-paced – or both.
Yes, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) Program has been Yoga Alliance registered since 2012. This means if you have your RYT, this program fulfills the requirements for your RPYT Certification.
That’s totally fine.
You’ll get all the tools you need to start teaching mamas, and you’ll be Ma Yoga Certified at the end.
If you do decide to do a regular training in the future, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) program will give you a solid foundation for it.
If you choose to do a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) down the road, you can submit your Ma Yoga Certificate to Yoga Alliance and get your RPYT at that time.
In the meantime, you can be teaching prenatal yoga in your “Mama Circle”!
