The Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification (RPYT) Program

An 85-hour pre and postnatal yoga teacher training for ALL women

“I love the profound wisdom of the methodology and Jessica, its founder. The Ma Yoga approach is not only beneficial in the time around giving birth, it can change your whole perspective on life.”

– Ann-Christin G.

Live Prenatal Yoga Training starts
February 1

Prenatal yoga training should be more than a bunch of do's and don'ts.

We’re all pregnant with something – whether it’s a baby, a project, or a new way of offering our gifts.

“Ma” in almost every language means “mother”. In Sanskrit it also means “the highest, most powerful and wise.”

Ma Yoga teaches powerful alignment principles that go way beyond modifying poses for pregnancy. It’s about learning to nurture yourself deeply, so you can align physically, mentally, energetically and spiritually with your highest, most powerful and wise “Ma” Self.

Welcome to the longest-running prenatal yoga training online.

Receive personal help from Jessica, teachers and experts in the community and like-hearted trainees throughout your journey. Pregnant mamas welcome, and new moms don’t worry – you can be on mute, so loud little ones won’t distract anyone.

Join us for live Zoom calls or recorded online trainings – or both. Lifetime access allows you to come back to the material again and again. If you get busy, take it live next time – you have a year to complete your certification.

Discover principles and practices that will help you become a powerful co-creator in your own life, on and off the mat – whether you’re gestating a baby, a vision, or a new way of offering your gifts to the world.

Hi I’m Jessica Jennings. I’m so glad you found us!

I created Ma Yoga® as a new mom in 2009 to help yoga teachers confidently support, guide and inspire moms and moms-to-be.

In 2012, my prenatal yoga training was allowed to be about half online by Yoga Alliance, and I loved how spread out and easy that part was.

Now that it’s 100% online rather than squeezed into a few weekends, I am so proud of how prepared and excited my graduates are.

Ma Yoga is based in simple, repeatable alignment-principles I still use daily on after 20 years of teaching.

As you go through your “Ma” journey, these principles – rooted in the five elements of nature – will not only help you teach safe, therapeutic, and inspiring pre and postnatal yoga, they’ll give you powerful insights into co-creation itself.

…adjust regular poses and sequences for pregnant students

…create inspiring, transformative prenatal yoga classes

… relieve common aches and pains, like wrist, back, shoulder and neck

… help heal postpartum conditions, both physical and emotional

… offer off-the-mat self-care routines so busy women can heal and thrive

… confidently support, guide and inspire moms and moms-to-be!

Even if you’ve never had kids, taught yoga OR taken a yoga teacher training.

The Ma Yoga Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Journey

Teach mamas to make space for baby – both physically and emotionally – using alignment to reduce common pregnancy including depression, anxiety and aches and pains. Plus help them have a transformative pregnancy.

One in three women report that their birth was traumatic and black women are three times more likely to die in childbirth than white women. Discover how the Five Sacred Steps are helping moms-to-be prepare for and experience an empowering, meaningful, supported birth.

One in seven mothers experience postpartum depression – and anxiety is becoming even more common that that. The principles of Ma Yoga teach women how to deeply nurture themselves on and off the mat so they can heal and thrive during this challenging – and blissful – time.

Let's make space for what's wanting to be born through you.

Yes, the four 3-week trainings are all online, and you can take them either live on Zoom, self-paced – or both.

Yes, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) Program has been Yoga Alliance registered since 2012. This means if you have your RYT, this program fulfills the requirements for your RPYT Certification.

That’s totally fine.

You’ll get all the tools you need to start teaching mamas, and you’ll be Ma Yoga Certified at the end.

If you do decide to do a regular training in the future, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) program will give you a solid foundation for it.

If you choose to do a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) down the road, you can submit your Ma Yoga Certificate to Yoga Alliance and get your RPYT at that time.

In the meantime, you can be teaching prenatal yoga in your “Mama Circle”!

When you register for the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program, you get INSTANT access to:

  • The Yoga of Pregnancy & Postpartum Training
  • The Yoga of Healing for Women Training
  • Mayurveda: an Ayurveda Training for Busy Women Training
  • The Yoga of Birth

You can take any of the above self-paced, live with us, or both throughout your Certification year.

Finally, when you register for the whole program, you’ll have six months FREE Ma Collective Membership with monthly Masterclasses, business coaching, free online classes and lots more.

You can take any individual training for Continuing Education.

The Yoga of Pregnancy Training is our 18-hour foundational prenatal training.

Each of the rest is 12 hours:

The Yoga of Healing Training for Women is our alignment-based therapeutics training for aches and pains, and common childbirth-related conditions.

Mayurveda is our off-the-mat self-care, daily rhythm and food-as-medicine training.

The Yoga of Birth is a comprehensive birth prep course taught through a yogic filter.

Yes. The whole Certification Program includes a deep dive into mom and baby yoga, preschool yoga and postpartum healing. You will have all the tools you need to teach yoga to new moms, and help them heal and thrive on and off the mat.

Here’s what’s NOT included when you register for the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program:

A required birth education training.

You can choose to do our online birth training, The Yoga of Birth, OR take a doula training on your own.

If you think you might want to become a doula, you might want to check in to doula trainings in your area.

If not, our online training, The Yoga of Birth, is an uplifting exploration of all the choices and challenges around labor led by two highly experienced, nurturing birth and postpartum doulas.

Other requirements not included: six prenatal yoga classes ($50-ish) and a $30 Certification Fee at the end (this is waived if you choose to write a blog).

Each of the four trainings is three weeks, twice-a-week – Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If you can’t make it to any of the sessions, you can watch the videos and stay in the nurturing current of the group.

OR, you can watch them whenever it’s convenient for you.

You have a year to complete your Certification program.

Go up to Upcoming Events for dates, discounts and times – and to register!
