I took this training to get more knowledge about appropriate poses for pregnant women. I got a lot more… the Ma Yoga principles are golden and I can use this knowledge for every type of yoga class and even apply them to my own personal life.

I feel blessed to have been given this gift. Thank you Jess!

Erica T.

This training is so well put together, the information is infinite, and I have a whole new love for pregnancy and motherhood.

I can’t wait to one day teach with and be part of Ma Yoga!

Mandy Johnson

I feel so much more confident about teaching, which is amazing because I didn’t feel that way after my 200 hour.

Annie

After this training, I feel connected to sacred life amidst universal challenge and change. What worked: a small group, combination lecture/ sharing/ workbook/ videos/ practice teaching. And the pure spirit of “Jess”.

Don’t hesitate. Do it! Be receptive. Have faith in the process. It is a gift to me personally and to ALL.

Nina R.

I have only just begun this program and I am impressed!

From the ease of navigating the website, to the breadth and quality of content, I am thrilled to have been connected to this community and wealth of resources.

Kelsey D.

I’m glad that it was over time and not just a quick training and then you’re done. It gives you time to absorb the material and integrate it into my own teaching.

I feel like a stronger teacher, especially when it comes to people who back pain or issues related to pregnancy and postpartum.

Angela R.

The Ma Yoga Prenatal Teacher Training has truly been a metamorphosis both personally and professionally.

Jessica and the team at Ma Yoga have created a certification made up of crucial components, which allow you to build upon your knowledge and training, improving and empowering your teaching and your own life.

Andy

I had a wonderful experience with Ma Yoga. Jessica is always available and quick to respond to any questions. She wants you to be successful.

Through Ma Yoga I feel empowered as a working mom instead of apprehensive or lost in a corporate job that doesn’t want to accept my new life as a mother.

Jolie S.

Empowerment and care for this whole community is at the core of all that Ma Yoga does. I am at a totally different place than I was before I started on my Ma Yoga journey. I still have a long way to go, but I want to do it and keep doing it… I love it!

Thank you Jessica and all at Ma Yoga. You are truly inspirational.

Annie P.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know how much I am enjoying your training.  It is quite different than what I’m used to (aside from the prenatal aspect).

I love learning these sacred steps and how they apply to EVERY practice and EVERY “body.”

Light bulbs are going off, and the connection is beautiful.

Deborah A.

The training is incredibly well structured, with a wealth of tools and wisdom to be shared. Plus Jessica will answer all of your questions and then some.

I loved the community and spiritual principles that were always at play. I immediately felt comfortable enough to have a voice and make a mistake, which is a big deal.

I feel more confident in my own home practice as well. Bringing the magic of the 5 elements into my practice in this organic way has instilled a sense of renewal.

Ash S.

As a registered nurse that has provided care to hundreds of women during their pregnancy for the last 16 years, I didn’t realize that there was another way to approach birth.

Jessica and her team explained how to prepare your body birth with alignment based yoga, diet techniques and so much more.

I believe that I am a better nurse in the hospital setting due to this training.

Shawna W.

This prenatal certification program not only met, but exceeded my expectations!

There were so many details that helped me feel supported and encouraged throughout the process – from the live zoom classes, to the correspondence from Jelena updating my progress, to the attentive conversations with my Mentor Jamie.

Elizabeth S.

Thank you for the beautiful response in our Teacher Training Circle forum. I feel like that response was like months of therapy. Really, I’m so grateful for your words, your teaching, your style. I hope I can be a resource for my future students like you are.

Ashley M.

The time I spent learning about yoga and the perinatal experience with Jess and Nicole at Ma Yoga was nothing short of wonderful. I learned many things that I will hold near and dear to my heart forever.

The different classes that I was a part of with them, as well as my prior doula and postpartum doula training, gave me everything I needed to know when supporting birthers physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Carley H.

The training has not only given me the preparation to step confidently into guiding expectant and new moms in their practice, but it has given me the gifts of personal growth and healing on my own journey.

The course requirements (lectures, assignments and tests) are thorough but not overly arduous. The teachers are passionate about their field, facilitate an enriching learning community, and are unfailingly encouraging every step of the way.

Beth Massey

My student delivered a healthy baby girl – vaginal unmedicated Sunday night. She told me all the work we have done during her pregnancy since 25 wks worked. The knowledge that yall gave me is amazing. My heart is so fulfilled right now that I was able to help someone have the birth experience that they wanted.

Shawna

Jessica I thank you again for this amazing program that you facilitate!

I could never have imagined learning the way I did and becoming so invested in the work through a computer.

I feel blessed to have found you and that our paths have crossed.

Alyssa W.

Thank you so much Jess! I am humbled and uplifted by your teachings, support and encouragement.

There is always so much to learn when we are listening. I feel so blessed to be surrounded and inspired by teachers like you.

Lindy K.

The Prenatal Certification Program with MaYoga® is a wonderful opportunity for personal and professional development and growth.

The MaYoga® approach to life is not only beneficial in the time around giving birth but it can change your whole perspective on life. I heartedly and fully recommend Jessica’s program!

Ann-Christin Görtz, Certified Anusara Instructor

As a yoga teacher, this program gave me the confidence to teach pre-natal students at any stage of pregnancy.

I am no longer nervous or worried if a pre-natal student joins in any of my group classes.

I am confident that I know what to do should I ever get pregnant and how to continue my own personal practice during this time.

Aileen P. from the Yoga Alliance website

This was a phenomenal program. I am so grateful I found Ma Yoga.

I am now a confident prenatal yoga teacher and this training has greatly improved my non-prenatal teaching as well.

Ashley M. from the Yoga Alliance website

This is the best prenatal teacher training program around.

Extensive and gives you the added business support to create your own pre and postnatal yoga business in your community. Outstanding.

Colleen H. from the Yoga Alliance website

The Ma Yoga prenatal teacher training was wonderful.

Jessica Jennings is a supportive and inspiring instructor.

My personal yoga practice deepened with the alignment principles that were taught, and I gained much knowledge and insight to share with others, both pregnant or needing healing alignment.

Daho S. from the Yoga Alliance website

Each of the instructors is incredibly skilled in and passionate about sharing their expertise and experience with Prenatal Yoga.

The support you receive from the Ma Yoga community after you complete training is unparalleled.

I could not recommend this training more!

Emily M. from the Yoga Alliance website

This was such a thorough and fulfilling teacher training!

Jess has such a beautiful spirit and so much knowledge of prenatal yoga. I have felt so supported by Ma Yoga throughout this entire program and am very grateful to be a part of this community.

Hayley W. from the Yoga Alliance website

The Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program is incredibly comprehensive, covering not only alignment but self-care practices rooted in Ayurveda and birth training that provides teachers who may not have been through childbirth with greater understanding.

The Ma Yoga team really wants to see their teachers succeed and are committed to supporting them on their journey.

Heather K. from the Yoga Alliance website

Ma Yoga® is a wonderful program and I highly recommend it to any yoga teacher looking to reach this special community of practitioners.

The teachers are compassionate, highly skilled, and knowledgable and the curriculum is well-rounded and flexible.

Jamie H. from the Yoga Alliance website

The creator and owner, Jessica, and her team of educators were very supportive and knowledgeable.

Jessica creates a community for her students and provides a comprehensive program.

Jennifer R. from the Yoga Alliance website

I enjoyed this training so much that I am now moving on to teach the trainings to more teachers.

Joyful Path Yoga from the Yoga Alliance website

Ma Yoga is great.

I learned a lot and continue to practice their teachings.

Kathy C. from the Yoga Alliance website

Grateful for everything that was learned and shared with me and our growing community.

Kimberly F. from the Yoga Alliance website

Ma Yoga provides stellar instruction and guidance for yoga teachers interested in working with women on the journey of motherhood.

Lauren H. from the Yoga Alliance website

I can’t recommend this training enough.

I feel so prepared as a prenatal teacher thanks to Jessica and Ma Yoga!

Melanie W. from the Yoga Alliance website

The small class size allows for a more in-depth training and creates a place for making friends with fellow students I never could have imagined.

The curriculum of the program is broken down in such a way that it is not overwhelming and you are well prepared to teach.

Pernille S. from the Yoga Alliance website

With my hectic schedule, I felt the convenience of having the classes split up over a few months really helped me focus on each aspect of the courses presented.

Very easy to move forward and I felt like I truly appreciated each step.

Stefanie C. from the Yoga Alliance website

This was an amazing teacher training program.

It was fun and there was a lot of support throughout the whole process.

Tammi F. from the Yoga Alliance website

So glad I chose to complete this program. It provides a strong foundation for concepts and theories that can be easily applied in classes with students.

It provides a wonderful approach that included ways to support nutrition, physical, and emotional support for mothers-to-be.

Tiffany T. from the Yoga Alliance website

I loved the training from MaYoga so much. It touched on so many facets of yoga, philosophy, ayurveda, pregnancy, and birth. The community circle and mentorship program were the icing on the cake!

Allison S.

While my certification through Ma Yoga was entirely online, I felt so connected to Jessica and those training with me. The zoom classes were informative and attending other prenatal classes through ma yoga was so helpful for me. The most helpful part was the ma yoga mentorship where I recorded myself teaching and was able to get feedback from an experienced teacher. I’m so grateful for all the knowledge I gained here!

Heather J.

I am so thankful for the prenatal yoga training through Ma Yoga. I have completed a handful of other certification trainings and I believe this content was by far the most in depth.

I love how well rounded the training was. Many trainings feel like they are doing the bare minimum to meet the requirements and feel like a hustle to get teachers in and out the door.

I felt like this training was created from a true heart to support women on the deepest level and for generations to come. The intention and heart-filled teachings were evident in every step of the training.

Rachael C.

I feel confident and prepared to teach prenatal & postnatal yoga after completing the Ma Yoga Teacher Training. Not only have I learned how to plan classes for pregnant students, but I have learned how to create supportive spaces to assist students on their journeys into parenthood.

Angela B. from The Yoga Alliance website

Jessica is a treasure. Her knowledge of and passion for prenatal yoga is contagious! She worked very hard to help me overcome some health issues so that I could complete the program.

Kelly B.

My back is happy. I don’t intend to teach prenatal, more to suggest asanas that can help postpartum mamas. But I will be more “bossy” in my teaching, as well as in my life. Clearer boundaries, more assertive.

I loved your joy, your passion, your knowledge. I really appreciated how you commented on our teachings. You were respectful, positive and uplifting. That hasn’t always been my experience. Thank you for that.

Yes, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) Program was created in collaboration with Yoga Alliance in 2012. This means if you have your RYT, this program fulfills the requirements for your RPYT Certification.

You don’t need any previous training or experience to take this course, and get all the tools you need to start teaching mamas.

While you can’t get the RPYT letters after your name unless you have your RYT, you can say you are Ma Yoga Certified, and to anyone who is familiar with prenatal yoga trainings this means the highest quality.

If you do decide to do a regular training in the future, you’ll have a leg up as you will learn foundational alignment principles that will help you in any trainings or teaching you do.

If you do choose to do a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) down the road, you can submit your Ma Yoga Certificate to Yoga Alliance and get your RPYT at that time.

If you feel drawn to teaching prenatal yoga, we highly recommend that you start with this training as the principles you learn are easier to learn first, as a basis for all yoga practices.
