Reconnect to your "Ma" Self

The 85-hour Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program is about learning how to truly nurture yourself, on and off-the-mat.

You’ll learn powerful co-creative practices and principles that will not only help you teach safe, therapeutic, and transformative prenatal and postpartum yoga –

In the process, you’ll rediscover your highest, most wise and powerful “Ma” Self.

Start today.

Summer schedules can be really unpredictable (which is good! Hopefully you’ve got some fun in store), so our training is self-paced only until August 7. If you’d like to be Certified by the end of 2024, you still can – do a training over the summer on your own time, and then join us live on Zoom for the rest of the 85-hour RPYT Program.

The 85-hour program is the longest-running online RPYT program, and is unique in so many ways:

  • It’s comprehensive: It’s so much more than do’s and don’ts and sequencing for prenatal yoga. You’ll learn to teach with themes, therapeutic alignment for pregnancy, postpartum, and healing in general, and Mayurvedic self-care and food-as-medicine routines for mamas.
  • It’s flexible: You can start with The Yoga of Pregnancy self-paced, and then join us for the other trainings live – or do it all self-paced. You have a whole year to complete your Certification, and you have evergreen access to your trainings as long as we’re online. You can even hop back in live anytime for a refresher.
  • It’s alignment-based: Instead of just learning poses and practices, you’ll be learning the principles behind them. Kind of like physical therapy, you’ll understand how to cue your students to be able to use each pose to help your students receive, recruit muscles, release, root and rise – to support healing and thriving.
  • It offers a paid teaching opportunity: Our virtual yoga studio is a wonderful way to take that next step, and guide mamas through prenatal practices just by clicking in to the Ma Yoga Zoom Room. Plus, you’ll be getting your required Yoga Alliance teaching hours.
  • It provides personal support: So many trainings out there give you a bunch of videos and lists… and we find ourselves at the end in exactly the same place where we started. We all have our own unique obstacles and challenges to get through. In this training, you’ll get customized support so you feel confident, calm and clear as a prenatal teacher.

I’m excited to support you on YOUR unique Ma journey!

This training is so well put together, the information is infinite, and I have a whole new love for pregnancy and motherhood.

I can’t wait to one day teach with and be part of Ma Yoga!

Mandy Johnson

I feel so much more confident about teaching, which is amazing because I didn’t feel that way after my 200 hour.

After this training, I feel connected to sacred life amidst universal challenge and change. What worked: a small group, combination lecture/ sharing/ workbook/ videos/ practice teaching. And the pure spirit of “Jess”.

Don’t hesitate. Do it! Be receptive. Have faith in the process. It is a gift to me personally and to ALL.

Nina R.

I have only just begun this program and I am impressed!

From the ease of navigating the website, to the breadth and quality of content, I am thrilled to have been connected to this community and wealth of resources.

Kelsey D.

I’m glad that it was over time and not just a quick training and then you’re done. It gives you time to absorb the material and integrate it into my own teaching.

I feel like a stronger teacher, especially when it comes to people who back pain or issues related to pregnancy and postpartum.

Angela R.

The Ma Yoga Prenatal Teacher Training has truly been a metamorphosis both personally and professionally.

Jessica and the team at Ma Yoga have created a certification made up of crucial components, which allow you to build upon your knowledge and training, improving and empowering your teaching and your own life.

I had a wonderful experience with Ma Yoga. Jessica is always available and quick to respond to any questions. She wants you to be successful.

Through Ma Yoga I feel empowered as a working mom instead of apprehensive or lost in a corporate job that doesn’t want to accept my new life as a mother.

Jolie S.

Empowerment and care for this whole community is at the core of all that Ma Yoga does. I am at a totally different place than I was before I started on my Ma Yoga journey. I still have a long way to go, but I want to do it and keep doing it… I love it!

Thank you Jessica and all at Ma Yoga. You are truly inspirational.

Annie P.

Thank you for the beautiful response in our Teacher Training Circle forum. I feel like that response was like months of therapy.

Really, I’m so grateful for your words, your teaching, your style. I hope I can be a resource for my future students like you are.

Ashley M.

Thank you so much Jess! I am humbled and uplifted by your teachings, support and encouragement.

There is always so much to learn when we are listening. I feel so blessed to be surrounded and inspired by teachers like you.

Lindy K.

This prenatal certification program not only met, but exceeded my expectations!

There were so many details that helped me feel supported and encouraged throughout the process – from the live zoom classes, to the correspondence from Jelena updating my progress, to the attentive conversations with my Mentor Jamie.

Elizabeth S.

The curriculum of the program is broken down in such a way that it is not overwhelming and you are well prepared to teach.

It was fun and there was a lot of support throughout the whole process.

I researched courses across the United States, and when I found Ma Yoga training and Jess….I knew I found something very special and excellent.

What should not have surprised me, is how much I benefited from this incredible training.

The principles taught are amazing and make sense; allowing even new instructors to teach with wise techniques and keep students safe.

While you can’t get the RPYT letters after your name unless you have your RYT, you can say you are Ma Yoga Certified, and to anyone who is familiar with prenatal yoga trainings this means the highest quality.

If you do choose to do a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) down the road, you can submit your Ma Yoga Certificate to Yoga Alliance and get your RPYT at that time.

If you feel drawn to teaching prenatal yoga, we highly recommend that you start with this training as the principles you learn are easier to learn first, as a basis for all yoga practices.

Thank you for wanting to support, guide and inspire moms and moms-to-be, and for finding your way to my life work: the Ma Yoga Certification program.

: )

In those six years I realized how life-changing it can be when women get the right kind of support and guidance in the transition to motherhood.

When it was done, I knew what I wanted to do.

In 2009, Ma Yoga® Pregnancy, Postpartum & Beyond was born with a vision: a Ma Circle in every neighborhood.

Before Covid we had more than ten in-person Ma Circles in Southern California…and more than 18,000 mamas had relieved aches and pains, strengthened and opened, prepared for labor and postpartum and enjoyed this exciting time with us.

Now we’re supporting people online to create Ma Circle across the country – and the world. We’re about to start our first one in Norway!

If this is part of your vision for yourself, I can’t wait to help you make yours happen.

And if not, I look forward to supporting you on your “Ma” journey, wherever that may take you… 🙏
