A Unique Experience.

Here’s why:

  • It’s comprehensive: It’s so much more than do’s and don’ts and sequencing for prenatal yoga. You’ll learn to teach with themes, to relieve pain for students in their poses;  to support healing on and off the mat, and to suggest simple but powerful self-care and food-as-medicine routines for busy nurturers.
  • It’s flexible: You can start self-paced, and then join us for some  trainings live – or do it all self-paced. You have a whole year to complete your Certification, and if you need more time, you can extend. Once Certified, you have evergreen access to your trainings as long as we’re online. You can even hop back in live anytime for a refresher.
  • It’s alignment-based: Instead of just learning poses and practices, you’ll be learning the principles behind them. Kind of like physical therapy, you’ll understand how to cue your students to be able to use each pose to help your students receive, recruit muscles, release, root and rise – to support healing and thriving.
  • It offers a paid teaching opportunity: Our virtual yoga studio is a wonderful way to take that next step, and guide mamas through prenatal practices just by clicking in to the Ma Yoga Zoom Room. Plus, you’ll be getting your required Yoga Alliance teaching hours.
  • It’s not just about transforming your teaching – it’s about your practice and your life: So many trainings out there give you a bunch of videos and lists… and people find themselves in exactly the same place as when they started. We all have our own unique obstacles and challenges to get through. In this training, you’ll learn how to align with your own innate power and wisdom, so you can teach prenatal yoga with confidence, compassion and clarity.

I’m excited to support you on YOUR unique Ma journey!

Flexible format for busy nurturers of people and projects.

  • Upon registration, you will get instant access to your trainings so you can get started.
  • You’ll also be on the roster for all four upcoming trainings.
  • If you can’t make it to any sessions, you’ll get an email that evening with a link to the videos so you can stay with us in our training Circles.

  • If something comes up and you can’t do it at all – no worries! Just email and we’ll put you on the roster for the next one. We offer each one at least twice a year, and you have one year to complete your Certification.

  • You can do it all self-paced if you like, but you must show up live to at least 6 sessions – either one full training, or occasionally over the four.

  • If you need more than a year to complete, you can extend as long as you like with Ma Yoga Training Membership.

Reconnect to your "Ma" Self

The 85-hour Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program isn’t just about learning teach safe, therapeutic and transformative prenatal and postpartum yoga.

It’s also about learning how to mother yourself, on and off-the-mat.

You’ll learn a simple framework based in the five natural elements that will not only help you teach safe, therapeutic, and transformative prenatal and postpartum yoga – they’ll help you become a powerful co-creator in your own life, and inspire you to guide and support mamas.

Still have questions about prenatal yoga certification?

Yes, the four 3-week trainings are all online, and you can take them either live on Zoom, watch them on your own time – or both.

If you prefer to be live on Zoom but you get busy during the training, just reach out and we’ll put you on the roster for the next one.

Yes, the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) Program was created in collaboration with Yoga Alliance in 2012. This means if you have your RYT, this program fulfills the requirements for your RPYT Certification.

You don’t need any previous training or experience to take this course, and get all the tools you need to start teaching mamas.

While you can’t get the RPYT letters after your name unless you have your RYT, you can say you are Ma Yoga Certified, and to anyone who is familiar with prenatal yoga trainings this means the highest quality.

If you do decide to do a regular training in the future, you’ll have a leg up as you will learn foundational alignment principles that will help you in any trainings or teaching you do.

If you do choose to do a 200-hour yoga teacher training (RYT) down the road, you can submit your Ma Yoga Certificate to Yoga Alliance and get your RPYT at that time.

If you feel drawn to teaching prenatal yoga, we highly recommend that you start with this training as the principles you learn are easier to learn first, as a basis for all yoga practices.

When you register for the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program, you get INSTANT access to:

  • The Yoga of Pregnancy & Postpartum Training
  • The Yoga of Healing for Women Training
  • Mayurveda: an Ayurveda Training for Busy Women Training
  • The Yoga of Birth

You can take any of the above self-paced, live with us, or both throughout your Certification year.

After YOP and YOH, you can schedule your Ma Mentorship.

Finally, when you register for the whole program, you’ll have six months to enjoy Ma Collective Membership with monthly Masterclasses, business coaching, yoga and tons of resources for studying and teaching.

Yes. With modules in Mom + Baby Yoga as well as preschool yoga and postpartum healing, you will know exactly what and how to teach yoga to new moms.

Here’s what’s NOT included when you register for the Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program:

Requirements not included:

  • six prenatal yoga classes ($50-ish with your Ma Member discount)
  • $50 Certification Fee at the end (this is waived if you choose to write a blog).

Each of the four trainings is three weeks, twice-a-week – Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If you can’t make it to any of the sessions, you can watch the videos and stay in the nurturing current of the group.

OR, you can watch them whenever it’s convenient for you.

You have a year to complete your Certification program.

Go up to Upcoming Events for dates, discounts and times.

Yes, as soon as you register for the Ma Yoga Online Prenatal Yoga Certification (RPYT) Program, you’ll receive instant access to our prenatal teacher training, therapy for women and Ayurveda self-care for moms courses.

You can choose to do them at your own pace, join us on Zoom or stay with us by watching the videos at home.

There’s a short quiz at the end of each session that you take to get credit, whether you were there live or you watched the video.

Either way, you can be part of the ongoing conversation in our training Circles.

You have one year from the first day of your first LIVE training to complete your Certification.

However, you can extend as long as you like with a small monthly fee. Once you’re Certified, you’ll have evergreen access to all your trainings and materials, so you can come in and watch sessions for a refresher anytime.

You can even hop in live again – we love to see you!

All of your training videos and materials are available and since they’re changing all the time, you can keep learning by watching new sessions you’re interested in.

You can also choose to teach online prenatal yoga classes with us and enjoy weekly CARE Coaching to grow your impact.

Even if you don’t end up teaching with us, you will have the opportunity to continue studying in Ma Mastery.

We love continuing to support you on your “Ma” path, whatever that may be!

After your Ma Mentorship, you can reach out to start getting your required Yoga Alliance prenatal teaching hours.

There is no cost for the in-depth training you’ll get in online teaching – both in content and technical elements.

You’ll get paid 80% of all the revenue that comes in for your online class.

We believe we can all make a bigger impact when we offer our gifts together.

Teaching with Ma Yoga means you have a nurturing community supporting you as you expand your reach.

Just go up to Event Registration.

Click in to any training and you’ll see dates, times, prices and registration for that individual training OR the whole Ma Yoga Prenatal Yoga Certification Program.

After you’ve completed the Ma Yoga Prenatal Certification Program, you’ll have all the tools you need to teach prenatal yoga.

If you don’t have your Yoga Alliance RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher), you won’t be able to get the RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) until you do.

Many yoga studios will require that you have your RPYT, but if you want your own Mama Circle or you just want to share these practices and principles with clients, you’ll be more than ready.

Thank you for wanting to support, guide and inspire moms and moms-to-be, and for finding your way to my life work: the Ma Yoga Certification program.

: )

In those six years I realized how life-changing it can be when women get the right kind of support and guidance in the transition to motherhood.

When it was done, I knew what I wanted to do.

In 2009, Ma Yoga® Pregnancy, Postpartum & Beyond was born with a vision: a Ma Circle in every neighborhood.

Before Covid we had more than ten in-person Ma Circles in Southern California…and more than 18,000 mamas had relieved aches and pains, strengthened and opened, prepared for labor and postpartum and enjoyed this exciting time with us.

Now we’re supporting people online to create Ma Circle across the country – and the world. We’re about to start our first one in Norway!

If this is part of your vision for yourself, I can’t wait to help you make yours happen.

And if not, I look forward to supporting you on your “Ma” journey, wherever that may take you… 🙏
