Prenatal Massage Therapists
Don Ferreira BA/CMP – A Heller worker and internationally placed martial arts practitioner, Don does structural integration for people with deep misalignments of the bones, muscles, and fascia. This often happens after birth, and he goes deep do break up any scar tissue and release adhesions. Definitely a good one to go to after a car accident and if chiropractic just hasn’t ever held for you.
Joseph Teralis. Teralis (that’s what he goes by) is a gifted healer. He combines so many modalities – Heller work, gentle adjustment, and his own intuition to help your muscles and bones find their way back to happiness. He healed a twist in my body that I’ve had for years.
Sara Pereira, LMT. Offering Prenatal and Postnatal Massage (& Placenta Encapsulation & Placenta Tincture, if you’re interested!).
Craniosacral Therapy
Deborah Gleisner, Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Midwife (206) 300 8069. Craniosacral therapy can help relieve chronic tension in your upper band and shoulders, as well as sacral area. Deborah is very gifted. Plus, she works with Elizabeth Bachner, midwife, and is a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in natural remedies for children.
Prenatal Chiropractors
Highly regarded in LA:
Dr. Mike DeNapoli
He was recommended to me by my midwives, and has a ton of experience caring for pregnant women and other unusual chiropractic patients. I’ve shared the waiting room with pregnant ladies, mothers and babies, stroke victims, and one time with a wiener dog. Although he was probably just visiting.
Having never been to a chiropractor before becoming pregnant, I was skeptical and a little bit afraid, but Dr. Mike put me at ease by thoroughly checking how my spine was moving before having me lie on the table for any adjustments.
