New Mom Guide: CPR Classes in Los Angeles
Recently the recommendations for how to save Annie completely changed, so you might want to take a CPR class to brush up. Especially, obviously, if you have a pool, or if your child will be around pools, which is just about everywhere in Los Angeles. Here are a couple recommendations from members of our community:
1. Richard Pass, RN, 818-344-1442, www.savealittlelife.com.
2. I recommend Hands To Heart CPR www.handstoheartcpr.com 2216 West Magnolia Blvd in Burbank I took a class that covered CPR, choking, and use of defibrillators for adults, children, and infants. Hands To Heart advertises small class sizes, and they are not kidding. My class had three students total. It was taught by an Emergency Room Technician, included lots of time for asking questions and hands-on practice with mannequins, and took about two hours.
A lot has changed in CPR method since I was certified as a teenager, so I am glad I got the new info and very glad that I didn’t have to go to a hospital to take the class.
